o/ All,
Looking to see how much interest there would be for a EVE Newfoundland Meetup.
I'm working with marketing to send mail to local players and we'll see if we can get together and talk exploding spaceships!

No dates are set, I just wanted to stamp something so I could see if there was interest.
But this isn't really an offical CCP event, I just happen to live here and figured I'd see if I could get something happening as I was surprised there were so many local players!
(and it helps I have access to the DB :))

Dates would be within the next 2-3 weeks - just trying to figure out where best to hold it. Could be St. John's or Mt. Pearl - ideally somewhere central with easy parking (so downtown is pretty much out).
I'm thinking on a thursday, say 8:30pm (gives some time to get kids to bed).
Hoping this would be an initial meet & greet and we organize future gatherings going forward.
Biggest thing is getting the word out and having some on-going method of staying in contact - I'm gonna open an in-game channel today but not sure how else to stay in contact after this initial mail goes out.
Mail will have links to this forum thread (possibly to the reddit post), link to the EVEMEET site and the in-game channel. And we just have to wait and see if anyone shows up :)
Thoughts?

Ok, EVE Meet has been updated and the reddit thread as well.
Thursday, June 23rd @ 8:30pm at Boston Pizza on Kelsey drive
Also created an in-game channel - EVENewfoundland (thanks for the markup on the TO meet channel :))

hmm, I think i have a super old low sec poster from the EON magazines that i never hung up - perhaps a contest of who guesses the closest to the number of attendees wins? :)
